( will ) and big news this morning for raiders fans... head coach jack del rio has been fired. kron 4's camila bernal is live at raiders headquarters this morning with the latest. ( camila )in our other top story this morning ...oakland raiders coach jack del rio has been fired after a disappointing season. mark davis fired del rio after the

team's season-ending 30-10 loss to the los angeles chargers yesterday. del rio had signed a four-year contract extension last february after oakland ended a 13-year playoff drought with a 12-win season last year.the raiders followed that up with one of the most disappointing seasons in the nfl. oakland went 6-10 for the second biggest one-season drops in wins in franchise history.

with del rio being let go ... espn is quoting league sources saying that the raiders are about to offer former raiders head coach jon gruden a deal that would include ownership in the team. now that the raiders disappointing season is behind them ... bringing gruden in would be quite the move because he was traded away in 2001. gruden is currently an analyst at espn. ( will ) on the peninsula... a deadly shootout between police and a man outside of a bank. it happened in redwood city over the weekend. kron 4's spencer blake talked to witnesses.

(reporter)there was a person at the bank who saw the suspect pacing around with a gun, so they called police, who ended up getting into a shootout with the man.i spoke with one person who saw the shooting as it happened.just before four saturday afternoon, redwood city police arrived at this wells fargo at broadway and main.ignacio jimenez was nearby at the time. he was parking his car when he saw police cars zip by, so he turned the corner to check it out."that's when i saw officers behind the suburban with their weapons drawn. they were hiding behind the trees right across the street where there's a park, and so i saw that their attention was on a gentleman that was right outside the wells fargo bank." jimenez says it seemed like the suspect wasn't complying with officers' orders."he had his hands in his pockets in his sweater and then soon after that he took his hand out, and he had something in his hand and shots rang out - i'm not sure who shot first or what - and then the gentleman fell to the ground."police say the suspect shot at officers,

who returned fire and killed him.another witness works at the savers about a block away, and heard the commotion all the way over there."i heard about 12 shots so i told my coworkers about it and then ran across down over here and i saw the cops taping the whole streets."meanwhile, jimenez had his phone, and was recording everything he saw. when i spoke with him, he didn't have his phone, because police had it and were reviewing the video as evidence."i'm glad that my video was able to hopefully help them and their investigation."even hours later, people watching from the other side of the police line say they could see the suspect's body lying in the parking lot.the interim police chief, though sad there was loss of life, was satisfied with his officers' attempts to negotiate and use every tool they had available...before resorting to gunfire.(reporter) police said in a social media post that there are no other outstanding suspects in the case...and that there is no threat to the public.in redwood city, spencer blake, kron four news. ( will ) one person is dead and another injured after a shooting in san pablo.

it happened saturday on valencia way near contra costa college. officers arrived and found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. a 47-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. a 22-year-old man is expected to survive. (will) an s-u-v crashed into a 7-11 store in san leandro. here are some pictures from the scene. it happened last night on 1240 manor blvd. a white s-u-v crashed into the store ... causing damage to property inside. alameda county officials say there were no injuries in this crash. ( will ) changes are also coming to bart on this new year's day. all bart riders will be required to have proof of payment inside the pay areas of stations and trains. it's an effort to stop fare evasion ... be prepared to show your ticket or clipper card if asked by a fare inspector. fines will be 75 dollars

for adults and 55 dollars for minors. ( will ) in the east bay.. a man was arrested after an incident at the walnut creek bart parking garage. it happened early yesterday morning. officials say lowell ligon tried to enter a woman's car around two a-m as she drove through the parking garage. ligon was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest. he was taken to the hospital for treatment of a minor injury and later booked at the martinez jail. ( will ) happening today... the king tides are expected to bring some minor flooding in low lying areas in the bay area. the national weather service says ... they will happen today and tomorrow. they could cause flooding of parking lots ... sidewalks and coastal trails. officials say entrances and exits to coves and narrow beaches may be affected too. brings new laws...one of the changes in california will have to do with exactly áwhoá is allowed to drive a boat. connie tran explains the new law. it's a sound like no other - the buzz of the motor, the push of the waves. for boater bruce marion, it's his solace. "all your stresses, all your problems, just fade away when you're out on the water," exclaimed marion.but marion, who owns the boat shoppe in

downtown fresno, said he's had some not-so-fun boating experiences in year's past.he explained, "i've been hit, i've been hit, ya, and it's been an inexperienced operator spinnin donuts. i'm going by, and he ran right over my bow of the boat."that's why when marion heard the state will be enforcing a new law mandating boat drivers to undergo marine education and get a boating driver's license, he thought it was about time.marion said, "one, it teaches people the importance of safe operation of a vessel. and anything that can help the personal watercraft operators understand what they're operating."the law goes into affect on the first of the new year. boat drivers can start taking the approved boating safety course online now. according to the dbw, the driver's card will cost between $8 and $10. in 2018, only boat drivers under the age of 20 will have to abide by the new law. and by the year 2025, all

boat drivers will have to be educated and licensed. in 2015, the dbw reports 724 recreational vessels were involved in reported accidents and 49 boaters died in california.millerton lake state park ranger steve barber said he hopes this new mandate will lower the number of boating incidents on the water. barber stated, "the majority of the vessel accidents that we respond to out here, more often then not, the folks have very little to no experience whatsoever when it comes to operating the vessel.""you will save half of the lives that were lost last year," ended marion. state on a collision course with the white house. in direct defiance of president trump, california law enforcement officials have new, strict limits on how much they can help federal immigration authorities.police can no longer ask for someone's immigration status . landlords can face civil penalties for threatening to report renters to federal authorities.federal agents will need warrants to raid workplaces ... and employers can be fined for failing to warn workers 72 hours in advance.whooshcalifornia already has some of the strictest gun laws in the country.now they are getting even stricter.all school employees are banned from carrying concealed weapons on campus.anyone convicted of a hate crime loses the right to own a gun for ten years.anyone building a guns from parts will have to get a serial number from the state,all ammunition sales have to go through a licensed vendor ... so even if you order bullets online, you'll have to go to

( will ) national news... we're learning new details about a deadly shooting at a colorado apartment complex. a sheriff's deputy was killed... and six people were hurt. kim hutcherson has more. a community in mourning... after a deadly shooting at a colorado apartment complex.the suspect .... identified as 37- year-old matthew riehl.sheriff

tony spurlock/douglas county: "so it was more of an ambush-type attack on our officers. he knew we were coming."police were called to the copper canyon apartments on a disturbance call before six a-m sunday.they found riehl barricaded in his room. they say he began shooting, firing more than 100 rounds and forcing wounded deputies to crawl for safety.riehl himself was killed about 90 minutes later when a tactical team entered the apartment. the deceased deputy -- 29- year-old zackari parrish ... a family man with two young daughters.police officers formed a caravan to accompany his coffin to the coroner's office ...and citizens lined the way to show their respect. robin lee/aunt of colorado state trooper: "when one of them gets shot we all get shot in the heart."the other officers injured in the attack ... all in stable condition. they've been identified as 28- year-old mike doyle... 30-year-old taylor davis... 32-year-old jeffrey pelle... and 41-year-old tom o'donnell. two civilians were also injured.memorials have sprung up ... with local people compelled to show their sorrow ... and their support.addyson devlin/brought flowers to

( will ) the new year brings new hope for transgender individuals who want to join the military. the defense department is taking steps to receive transgender recruits into the ranks as soon as today. but, those who join know the legal road ahead could be bumpy. president trump announced a transgender ban in august -- but it is yet to be implemented. last month, a second federal judge blocked enforcement of the prohibition. ( will ) the supreme court will look into how the u-s judiciary handles sexual harassment allegations in its own ranks. that's according to chef justice john roberts, who announced it in his annual state of the
